Edinburgh Hotels

Famous for its Hogmanay, Summer Festivals and Military Tattoos, picturesque Edinburgh offers its newcomers an entertaining visit and a warm welcome. The east coast situated city is made up of the Old Town, which includes the Royal Mile and the New Town and is separated by the line of Princes Street.

Places to see while here should include Edinburgh Castle. If you are in the city for 1pm you will hear the daily roar of the fifteenth century cannon Mon's Meg fired from the castle. The second most visited attraction is that of Holyrood Palace, the official Scottish residence to the Royals. Steeped in history and early tales of poverty and disease, Edinburgh has a chequered past. There are numerous stories of ghosts, grave robbing and murder you will hear as you tour the city atop the Edinburgh Tourist bus. There are also several ghost tours if the idea of wandering around Edinburgh’s underground city at midnight doesn't frighten you!

Princes Gardens provides a welcome refuge to the busy pavements of shoppers’ paradise Princes Street. With its Scott Memorial and backdrop of the Old Town and the castle, you will enjoy this prime location for seeing the sights.

During the Summer Edinburgh receives thousands of visitors to its festivals. The Fringe Festival runs for four weeks and showcases theatre, music and comedy. There is in addition, the Blues and Jazz Festival, The Literary Festival and The International Film Festival that run throughout the summer here.
